Reading about brews is fun indeed. But it's not THAT much fun if you don't get to savor any of it for yourself! As we keep telling you, there is craft beer being brewed and bottled and made available everywhere here in Wilmington. These are great places with great people who make and sell great craft beer. Perhaps just as importantly is that these people want you to enjoy their brews - not just buy them. We're sure if you like beer, you've heard about at least some, but there are hidden treasures everywhere! So stay tuned!

A little over a year ago the Wilmington area was home to one brewery - Front Street Brewery. In fact, Front Street has been makin' beer and serving food for over 20 years now! They have certainly gone solo for a long time, but just in the past year, 5 more breweries have opened in Wilmington alone! You can find a list of all of them at the bottom of every Brew Local page. They are, after all, the whole reason we are here!
Stay tuned for a spotlight on each brewery, but in the meatime scroll below and grab a pint or a growler to take home at any these fine breweries and be assured you're going to get an amazing, flavorful beer from a great local brewery!
Wilmington is also home to craft houses and bars that have a great craft selection and a place to sit and enjoy it - draft and bottles alike.

...you can then take a wonderful, magical, tasty brew filled tour of Wilmington's amazing craft beer scene on The Port City Brew Bus! Yes, it's totally true. You can ride, drink, chat, learn a lot - all with a fun designated driver and the awesome bus that is Hoptimus Prime! All you have to do is get off the bus at each stop and drink! Let's go!
